ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University men's soccer team held No. 16 Northeastern State scoreless in the second half, but three first half goals were the difference in a 3-0 loss on Saturday at Kluck Field.
The Riverhawks wasted little time in finding the net, scoring in the third minute. The other two goals came on penalty kicks for NSU, the first in the 32nd minute on a foul and the second in the 41st minute after Ouachita was called for a handball in the box.
NSU held a 25-7 advantage in total shots, including an 11-3 lead in shots on goal.
The Tigers will hit the road next week to Kansas to take on Fort Hays State on Thursday and Newman on Saturday.
