TYLER, Texas – The Ouachita Baptist University women's soccer team opened its weekend trip to northeast Texas on Thursday afternoon with a 3-1 loss to UT-Tyler.
The Patriots (4-0) went up 2-0 in the first half with goals in the 13th and 22nd minutes, respectively. Ouachita (2-3) cut the deficit in half in the 38th minute with a penalty kick goal by
Jaymee Dotson, her second of the season and 22nd of her career.
UT-Tyler got that goal back in the 72nd minute to finalize the scoring.
Ouachita ended up with a 7-6 margin in shots on goal, but UT-Tyler led in total shots 20-9.
The Tigers take a short trip to Denton to take on Texas Woman's University on Saturday starting at noon.
