ARKADELPHIA – A 3-0 final scores does not adequately describe the effort of the Ouachita Baptist University volleyball team in a loss to Fort Hays State on Saturday in the third match of the Denton Volleyfest.
Final scores were in favor of the Wildcats (5-2) 25-21, 26-24, and 25-22. There were a combined 27 tie scores in the match and 13 lead changes.
The Tigers (3-4) were led offensively by
Kayla Steinmeyer with 10 kills and only three errors on 19 swings for a .368 percentage.
Courtney Hanson picked up 23 assists.
Lexie Castillow added 16 digs.
Ouachita closes out the weekend Saturday night against the host team, Texas Woman's. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
