ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Volleyball bounced back with a dominant 3-1 win over the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State University Saturday afternoon at home.
The Tigers came out hot, jumping out to a 9-2 lead early over the Rangers. NWOSU started to make things close, bringing the set within two points, but an 8-0 Ouachita run put the Tigers up by double digits. The Tigers closed out the set 25-14.
The Rangers used a few small runs to take set two 25-18.
Ouachita went right back to dominating in the third set, gaining another double-digit lead with a 20-10 score. From there is was smooth sailing to win 25-16 and take a 2-1 lead.
The Tigers didn't skip a beat in the fourth set, using a 13-2 run to comfortably take the set 25-12 and secure a 3-1 victory over the fourth-place Rangers.
As a team, Ouachita outhit NWOSU .368 to .139.

Riley Braziel with 13 digs and a .500 hitting percentage. She was followed by
Kayla Steinmeyer with 12 kills.
Courtney Hanson led the setters with 43 assists.
Avery Jauz paced the back row with 15 digs.
The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday, October 12 as they travel to Ada, Oklahoma to take East Central in the Battle of the Tigers.
