EDMOND, Oklahoma – The Ouachita women's swimming and diving team took third place at the 2023 Eagle Invite hosted by Oklahoma Christian over the weekend.
 
The Tigersharks came in third out of the total of eight teams competing in the three-day invitational. Ouachita racked up 621 points on the weekend, close behind second-place Western Colorado with 693.5 points.
 
The women won a total of four events.
 
Anna Phelps won three events, the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:27.57, the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:05.39 and the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 17:25.92. Phelps also took second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:36.39.
 
Didi Christenson won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 56.32. Christenson also placed second in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 52.14.
 
Other top finishing Tigersharks were:

• Keilee Holcomb finished second in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 57.42. Holcomb also took third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.54 and the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:11.31 and placed fourth in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 18:03.77.
• Jameson Tankersly took second in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 58.64.
• The 200 Freestyle Relay squad of Keilee Holcomb, Didi Christenson, Rachel Del Angel and Erin Russo placed second in the event with a time of 1:37.60.
• The 400 Freestyle Relay squad of Keilee Holcomb, Rachel Del Angel, Didi Christenson and Anna Phelps took second in the event with a time of 3:33.38.
• Erin Russo placed third in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 59.32.
• Rachel Del Angel finished fourth in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 57.84.
• The 200 Medley Relay squad of Erin Russo, Anna Phelps, Didi Christenson and Elise Henderson placed fourth in the event with a time of 1:49.46.

 
Next up, the Tigersharks will head to Kirksville, Missouri to take on Truman State University on Saturday, December 2.
