ARKADELPHIA – A combined 11 student-athletes from the Ouachita men's and women's soccer teams have earned a spot on the 2023 Academic All-District Team selected by College Sports Communicators.

Six from the Tiger women's soccer team and five from men's soccer earned the distinction based on combined athletic and academic performance. Requirements for the honor include having reached at least sophomore academic standing, be a starter or significant contributor on the field, and carry at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

Representing Ouachita women's soccer are Ava Dunagan, Abbey Inman, Abbey Moore, Sydni Perry, Gracen Turner, and Ashlyn Vana. All six recently helped the Tigers win the 2023 Great American Conference Championship Tournament and advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history since 2007.

Representing Ouachita men's soccer are Kristian Baker, Alfonso Gonzalez Gomez, Eli Jenkins, Daniel Marcano, and Hagan Sanchez.

All 11 are eligible for selection to the Academic All-America team, which will be announced in early December.
