INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The Ouachita Baptist University men's swimming and diving team has had three Tigersharks qualify for the 2023 NCAA National Championship meet in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The three qualifying Tigersharks and their events are:
Elijah Christenson qualified to swim in the 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle and the 200 Butterfly. Christenson is currently seeded 12
th overall in the 200 Butterfly. Elijah will swim the 100 Fly and the 200 Free on March 9, and the 200 Fly on March 10.
Miles Schulze qualified in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. Schulze is seeded 19
th overall in the 200 Breaststroke. Miles will swim the 100 Breast on March 10, and the 200 Breast on March 11.
Samuel Woods qualified in the 3 Meter and 1 Meter dives for Nationals. Woods will dive in the qualifying meet on March 7, and if he scores well, he will compete in the 3 Meter Dive on March 9 and the 1 Meter Dive on March 11. Sam Woods is the first Ouachita Diver to qualify for Nationals since 2010 when Kelly Caldwell qualified. Woods is the first men's diver to make the trip since Andy Scott went in the late 90s.
This marks Ouachita's first trip to Nationals since 2019 when Alex Podguzov qualified for the 200 Backstroke.

The 2023 NCAA Division II National Championship Meet will take place in the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana from March 7-11.
