CLINTON, Mississippi – Marshall Prather recorded his first multi-goal game of his collegiate career to lead Ouachita men's soccer in a 9-3 road loss to Mississippi College on Sunday.
Prather had a total of three shots on goal, two of them finding the net in the 58th and 76th minutes, respectively. They were career goals two and three for the senior from Dallas, Texas.
Although Prather scored two goals,
Grant Isbell was responsible for the first Tiger goal of the season, getting past the keeper in the 54th minute for his second career score.
The Choctaws (3-1) held a 29-9 advantage over the Tigers (0-4) in total shots and a 14-6 lead in shots on goal. In addition to Prather and Isbell,
Hagan Sanchez and
Inza Coulibaly also had one shot each on frame.
The Tigers will play at home at Kluck Field for the first time of the 2023 season this Thursday, September 14, hosting UT-Tyler. Thursday's game starts a four-game homestand for the Tigers, which will include the first conference contests of the year.
