ARKADELPHIA – The fourth-ranked Ouachita Baptist University football team is set for its first in-state road trip of the season this Saturday, September 23 against the Arkansas-Monticello Boll Weevils.

Ouachita is coming off a 52-24 win Southern Arkansas this past Saturday at home. The Tigers are one of 34 teams at the NCAA Division II level to still be undefeated through the first three weeks of the 2023 season.
The Weevils are 2-1 following their first loss of the season last Saturday on the road against Harding by a final score of 59-19.
Saturday's game is the 82nd meeting between Ouachita and UAM in football in a series that dates to the 1913 season. It is the third longest rivalry for Ouachita, trailing only Henderson State (95) and Arkansas Tech (86). Ouachita leads the all-time series 47-33-1 and is 10-1 against the Weevils since both schools became charter members of the Great American Conference in 2011.
