ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita men's soccer senior
Ebon Jordan scored two goals in the second half to lead the Tigers to a 2-2 draw with Fort Hays State on Thursday at home.
Jordan's first goal came in the 56th minute on a long shot just outside the penalty box after a short pass from
Alexis Murillo. Then, in the 87th minute, Jordan helped Ouachita avoid a loss with a header into the upper right corner of the goal on a deflected pass on a free kick by
Daniel Marcano.
The goals were Jordan's first two of the 2023 season and the seventh and eighth of his career. It was his second multi-goal game of his career.
Ouachita bounced back in the second half with three shots on frame after being held to just one in the first 45 minutes. Despite the evenness of the score, FHSU held a commanding lead in total shots at 33-11 and a 9-4 margin in shots on frame. FHSU also led in corner kicks 7-3.
Ouachita is back in action this Saturday at home against Newman. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
