ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's swimming and diving team dropped a close one in its first dual meet of the season against Oklahoma Christian.
Ouachita fell to Oklahoma Christian by the final score of 117-108.
The Tigersharks tallied six event wins in the meet.
Bella Howell won the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 161.40. Howell also won the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 129.53 points.
Anna Phelps picked up wins in both the 200 Butterfly (2:09.99) and the 1000 Freestyle (10:45.67).
Keilee Holcomb also earned two event wins, winning the 400 IM (4:43.44) and the 500 Freestyle (5:16.14).
In total, the Tigersharks recorded 18 top three finishes against the Eagles. Oklahoma Christian was ranked No. 21 in the final poll of last season. The 2024-25 polls have not been released.
The Tigersharks will look to bounce back next week when they host Delta State University on Friday, October 18 at 2 p.m. in Waggoner Pool.
