TIGERS, BISONS SET FOR D2 GAME OF THE WEEK

ARKADELPHIA – Ninth-ranked Ouachita Baptist University welcomes top-ranked Harding University to Cliff Harris Stadium this Saturday, October 19 for the game of the week in NCAA Division II football.

The Ouachita-Harding matchup this Saturday is the only game this week at the D2 level between teams ranked in the top 10 of the latest American Football Coaches Association top 25 poll. It is the seventh time since both schools joined the Great American Conference in 2011 that both are ranked in the top 25 when they meet and the third straight year marking a battle of top 10 teams.

Saturday's kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Arkadelphia. General admission tickets are $8 and are available starting at 4 p.m. Tickets purchased online can be claimed at the will call booth.

The game can be heard on the Ouachita Football Radio Network originating at KARN-FM 102.9 in Little Rock and available on 10 different stations throughout the state of Arkansas. Ouachita and Harding are two of the 13 remaining unbeaten teams at the D2 level heading into week seven. Both are 6-0 and coming off shutout victories last week. The Tigers beat East Central 40-0 last Saturday on homecoming. The Bisons defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State at home last Saturday by a final score of 62-0. ­

Saturday's game marks the 65th all-time meeting between the Tigers and Bisons. Harding holds the lead at 34-26-4. In games played in Arkadelphia, Harding leads 16-15-2.
