Ouachita carries momentum into Saturday's contest against UAM. The Tigers are winners of their last two games, including last week's 49-14 victory over Southern Nazarene on Homecoming. UAM is 1-5 overall, most recently falling to Oklahoma Baptist 34-20 last Saturday in Monticello.
Saturday will mark the 85th meeting between the Tigers and Weevils in football. Ouachita leads the all-time series 50-33-1. The rivalry is Ouachita's third-longest at 84 meetings, trailing only Arkansas Tech (90) and Henderson State (98). Both institutions were members of the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference and the Gulf South Conference. Since both schools became charter members of the Great American Conference in 2011, Ouachita is 13-1 against UAM.
