ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's soccer team closed a five-game homestand on Saturday with a scoreless draw against Northeastern State in GAC/MIAA action at Kluck Field.
Saturday's game featured a defensive battle with limited scoring opportunities for both teams. There were just five shots combined in the first half, none of which were on frame. In the second half, just seven shots were recorded with the Riverhawks getting the only two looks on frame.
Dillon Staal played the full 90 minutes in goal and recorded two saves. Back-line defenders Kristian Baker and Cameron Garcia also played the full 90 constantly helping the Tigers keep the Riverhawks away from the net.
The Tigers are on the road for their next four games. Up next is a trip to Kansas this upcoming Thursday and Saturday to take on Newman and Fort Hays State, respectfully.
