KIRKSVILLE, Missouri – The Ouachita men's swimming and diving team earned a 109-39 win against Truman State University on the second day of the two-day meet.
The Tigershark men picked up wins in six of the eight events.
Daniel Meszaros broke his second program record in as many days as he won the 500 Freestyle with a new school record time of 4:29.62. Meszaros won the event by more than 13 seconds. The Hungarian's time of 4:29.62 meets the NCAA's B Standard for 2024-25.
Zsombor Bujdoso picked up two wins in Saturday's meet. The Hungarian won the 400 IM by more than 15 seconds with a time of 4:03.05 and took first in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:05.35.
Anthony Paculba won the 200 Backstroke by less than a second with a time of 1:55.40. Paculba also placed second in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:43.34.
The 200 Medley Relay squad of
Sam Ragsdell,
Miles Schulze,
David Ware, and Meszaros won the event by two seconds with a time of 1:32.02.
The 400 Freestyle Relay squad of Meszaros, Ragsdell,
Vince Pal, and
James Savarese won the event by nine seconds with a time of 3:02.27.
Ouachita totaled 17 top three finishes across the eight events to earn the 109-39 win, marking their fourth dual meet win of the season.
The Tigersharks will look to keep up the success in their next dual meet when they travel across the street to take on the no. 12 RedWave of Henderson State on Friday, November 8.
