TIGERS TRAVEL TO FACE SAVAGE STORM SATURDAY

ARKADELPHIA – The 14th-ranked Ouachita Baptist University football team hits the road this weekend to face off against the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Savage Storm.

Kickoff this Saturday, October 5 is set for 2 p.m. at Paul Laird Field in Durant, Oklahoma. The game can be heard on the Ouachita Football Radio Network originating at KARN-FM 102.9 in Little Rock and available on 10 different stations throughout the state of Arkansas. Ouachita is 4-0 heading into this Saturday's game following a 49-14 victory over Arkansas-Monticello this past Saturday at home. The Tigers moved up two spots in the national rankings this week to No. 14 by both the American Football Coaches Association and D2Football.com. The Tigers have now been ranked by the AFCA in 68 of the last 69 polls.

The Savage Storm started the season 0-2, but have since won two in a row, including a 27-21 road win over Northwestern Oklahoma State this past Saturday in Alva.

Saturday's meeting is the 60th all-time between the Tigers and Savage Storm in football. Ouachita holds the all-time series advantage 34-21-4. Since the two squads became charter members of the GAC, the Tigers hold a 9-3 advantage. Most recently, Ouachita beat Southeastern 34-7 in the 2023 homecoming game.
