RICHMOND, Virginia – The Ouachita men's swimming and diving team has made its way into the top 15 in the latest CSCAA top 25 poll.
The Tigersharks check in at No. 13, moving up three spots from last months' poll. Ouachita competed in one meet between polls, where they took first place at the Delta State Thanksgiving Invite and broke six program records in the process.
The men are now the highest ranked team in the NSISC at No. 13. Delta State stayed put at No. 20 and Henderson State dropped to No. 23.
It's not just the team that sits high in the rankings this year,
Daniel Meszaros currently holds the fastest time in all of Division II in the 200 Freestyle after recording a 1:34.67 at the Thanksgiving meet in Mississippi. Meszaros also sits at tenth in the 100 Free and 11
th in the 500 Free.
Other Tigersharks who sit high in the national performance lists.
Zsombor Bujdoso ranks seventh in DII in the 400 IM and 14
th in the 200 Breaststroke,
Miles Schulze ranks seventh in the 200 Breaststroke,
Elijah Donaldson ranks eighth in the 3-Meter Dive, and Ouachita's 400 Freestyle Relay squad currently ranks eighth in DII.
The Tigersharks will be back in the pool in 2025 when they head to Pensacola, Florida to compete in the West Florida Invitational on Saturday, January 4.
