INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Five members of the Ouachita Baptist University Swimming & Diving Teams have qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships.
 
The five Tigersharks are Didi Christenson, Zsombor Bujdoso, Elijah Christenson, Carson Powers, and Miles Schulze.
 
Didi Christenson qualified in the 100 Butterfly with a seed time of 55:32.
 
Bujdoso qualified to swim the 200 and 400 Individual Medleys and the 200 Breaststroke. Bujdoso ranks 11th nationally in the 400 IM with a seed time of 3:52.76.
 
Elijah Christenson qualified in the 200 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, and 1000 Freestyle. Christenson currently ranks fifth in the nation in the 200 Fly with a seed time of 1:46.16.
 
Schulze qualified for the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. Schulze ranks ninth nationally in the 200 Breaststroke and 11th in the 100 Breaststroke with seed times of 1:57.43 and 53.95 respectively.
 
Powers made the cut for the NCAA qualifiers in 1-Meter and 3-Meter Diving and will have to score well there in order to make the championships.
 
Elijah Christenson and Schulze are making their second-straight appearance at the national championships.
 
The 2024 NCAA Division II Swim & Dive Championships will start on Tuesday, March 12 and run through Saturday, March 16 at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center in Geneva, Ohio.
