ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's tennis team hosted cross-street rival Henderson State on Friday for a non-conference matchup resulting in a 6-1 win for the Reddies.
Ruxandra Tolescu, now 8-3 this spring in singles, earned a hard-fought win in third-position singles for the Tigers' only point in the match.
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo gave her second-position counterpart a tough dual, eventually falling in a third-set tiebreaker.
In doubles,
Austynn Crocker and Zamora Caprirolo had a close battle, needing extra points to determine the win for the Reddies.
The Tigers hit the road to take on St. Mary's on Saturday in a neutral-site match played at UT-Dallas.
