CLEVELAND, Mississippi – The No. 15 Ouachita men's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip against Gulf South Conference teams with a 4-0 win over Delta State on Sunday.
The Tigers (9-4) started with convincing wins over the Statesmen (2-9) in first and third position doubles. The ninth-ranked duo of
Phil Exner and
Alex Blanchar as well as
Elias Lagger and
Fernando Docters each earned 6-1 wins to put Ouachita up 1-0 heading into singles.
In singles, No. 16 Exner,
Ramon Strassmann, and
Moritz Buss all made quick work of their second, fourth, and sixth position counterparts to finish the sweep.
The Tigers are back home for an MIAA/GAC match against in-state rival Southern Arkansas this Tuesday, March 26 starting at 2 p.m.
