ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's tennis team wrapped up the regular season on a high note, defeating Fort Hays State 5-2 on Saturday at home on Senior Day.
The Tigers started with wins in all three doubles matchups, highlighted by a clean 6-0 sweep from Austynn Crocker and Natalia Zamora Caprirolo on court one.
In singles, the purple Tigers beat the black and gold Tigers in the first four matchups to earn the overall victory, including two-set wins for seniors Austynn Crocker and Shelly Davilus on courts one and four, respectively.
Sophomore Sadbaroy Kholdarova and senior Olivia Gaston battled back from losing their first sets to win in tiebreakers on courts two and three, respectively.
Next up for the purple Tigers is the Great American Conference Championship Tournament next weekend in Bentonville.
