ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's tennis team gave No. 11 Southern Arkansas a tough fight on Tuesday afternoon inside the Ward Tennis Center, eventually falling to the Muleriders 5-2 in Great American Conference action.
The match lasted more than four hours with four of the six singles matchups needing a third-set to determine the point.
SAU started with wins in first and second position in doubles to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles.
Sadbaroy Kholdarova,
Austynn Crocker,
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo, and
Ruxandra Tolescu all took their respective singles counterparts to three sets. Kholdarova and Tolescu came away with wins in first and fourth positions, respectively.
The Tigers are back in action this Saturday, April 13 at home against Harding. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
