TIGERS HOST WEEVILS FOR HALL OF FAME GAME

ARKADELPHIA – The 16th-ranked Ouachita Baptist University football team returns to Cliff Harris Stadium this Saturday, September 28 to host the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Kickoff this Saturday is set for 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $8 and will be available at the gate. Tickets purchased online can be redeemed at the will call booth by the main entrance.

The game can be heard on the Ouachita Football Radio Network originating at KARN-FM 102.9 in Little Rock and available on 10 different stations throughout the state of Arkansas. A list of stations can be found at www.OBUtigers.com/broadcast. The Ouachita Sports Digital Network will broadcast the game live on YouTube for free. The Tigers (3-0) have been on the road the past two weeks, most recently resulting in a 25-20 win over Southern Arkansas this past Saturday in Magnolia. The Weevils (2-1) played on Thursday night of last week, resulting in a 63-3 loss to No. 1 Harding at home.

This Saturday's game marks the 83rd meeting all-time in football between Ouachita and UAM. It is Ouachita's third-longest rivalry behind Henderson State (96 games) and Arkansas Tech (87 games). The Tigers have a 48-33-1 lead in the series and are 11-1 against the Weevils since both schools became charter members of the Great American Conference in 2011.

During halftime of this Saturday's game, the 2014 Ouachita football team and Tiger football alumni Julius Pruitt and Dan Easley will be celebrated and recognized as the latest inductees into the Ouachita Athletics Hall of Fame. Click here for the full story about the honorees.
