ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita Baptist University football student-athlete Dylan Horton has been selected to the Academic All-America Second Team presented by College Sports Communicators.

Setting his academic success aside, Horton was Ouachita's top offensive lineman this past season and one of the best in the nation. The junior offensive tackle earned First Team All-Great American Conference honors and later earned spots on the D2 Conference Commissioners Association All-Region Team, and most recently, a spot on the Don Hansen Football Committee All-America Team.

In the classroom, the Royal, Arkansas native carries a 3.83 cumulative GPA in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in engineering with minors in mathematics and physics. He is a two-time selection to the Ouachita President's List, a three-time selection to the Dean's List, a two-time selection to the GAC All-Academic Team, and a two-time selection to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Horton started all 12 games for the Tigers this past season and also played guard in short yardage situations. He graded out at 89 percent for the season and only allowed two sacks and five pressures to go along with 62 domination blocks and 35 knockdowns. He helped the Tigers finish 10-2 in the 2024 campaign, featuring a share of the GAC championship and a spot in the NCAA Division playoffs.

Ouachita has now had at least one Academic All-America honoree in each of the past three seasons.
