PENSACOLA, Florida – The No. 13 Ouachita men's swimming and diving team started the new year off with a 197.5-89.5 win over William Carey University on Saturday afternoon in Florida.
The Tigersharks combined for 11 event wins.
Daniel Meszaros picked up two wins in Florida. Meszaros won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 49.96 and the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 57.53.
Anthony Paculba also earned two wins on Saturday, taking first in the 200 Freestyle (1:43.08) and won the 200 IM by over than four seconds (1:57.08).
Zsombor Bujdoso picked up a win in the 1000 Freestyle by almost second seconds with a time of 10:25.37.
Elijah Donaldson won the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 239.70 points.
Carson Powers won the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 203.48 points.
Sam Ragsdell earned a win in the 100 Free with a time of 46.07.
Miles Schulze tied for first in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 26.33.
David Ware won the 50 Butterfly with a time of 23.41.
The 200 Free Relay squad of Rafeal Bustillo, Ware, Meszaros, and Ragsdell won by almost two seconds with a time of 1:24.78.
In total, Ouachita tallied 35 top three finishes in route to the over 100-point win over the Crusaders.
The No. 13 Tigersharks will be back in action next week when they host the Falcons of Montevallo University on Saturday, January 11 at Waggoner Pool in Arkadelphia.
