Both teams are 7-3 entering Saturday's game looking for bragging rights as the chances are slim that either team will make the NCAA playoffs. The Tigers are riding a six-game winning streak, most recently rallying late in the fourth quarter to beat Southwestern Oklahoma State on the road last Saturday by a final score of 42-38. The Reddies are coming off a 45-35 win over East Central last Saturday at home.
Ouachita leads the all-time series 47-44-6. Last year in the regular season finale, Ouachita beat HSU 27-20 at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium to clinch a share of the 2024 Great American Conference championship. The last five meetings of the Battle of the Ravine have been decided by one score.
