ARKADELPHIA – The 2025 Great American Conference regular season champion Ouachita volleyball team has four representatives on the Academic All-District Team, presented by College Sports Communicators.
The four Tigers to earn the academic honors are senior
Emily Adams, junior
Kylie Kisgen, junior
Leah Gardner, and senior
Peyton Church.
Adams is now a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. The Arlington, Texas native is on pace to graduate in May of 2026 with a degree in psychology. She is a two-time GAC Elite Scholar Athlete Award winner and has made the Ouachita President's List in all of six of her completed semesters. Adams also found success on the court during her Ouachita career, earning All-GAC honors in all four seasons.
Kisgen is back on the CSC Academic All-District squad after making the team as sophomore in 2024. The Freeburg, Illinois native is pursuing a degree in communications and media. This past season, she earned a spot on the All-GAC honorable mention team and finished the year ranked third in the nation in digs per set (5.95) and sixth in total digs. Her 655 total digs this year ranks third on the Ouachita volleyball single-season charts.
Gardner is also earning her second CSC Academic All-District honor. The Crandall, Texas native is pursuing a degree in accounting. This year, she was selected to the All-GAC First Team marking her third straight all-conference honor. She was second in the league in hitting (.365) and fifth in blocks (116).
Church is on the CSC Academic All-District for the first team after finishing her Ouachita career this season. The Jonesboro, Arkansas native was a key player coming off the bench for the Tigers this season and ended up with 280 digs and 20 service aces. She is on pace to graduate this upcoming spring with a degree in kinesiology and communications.
These four student-athletes were instrumental in two of the best seasons in program history, winning the 2024 GAC tournament championship and advancing to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history, and following that up with the GAC regular season title this past year.
