MAGNOLIA, Arkansas – The Ouachita women's basketball team closed out the 2025 portion of the schedule on Saturday with a 58-50 loss to Southern Arkansas on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Muleriders (8-3, 4-1 GAC) held the Tigers (6-3, 3-2 GAC) to their lowest scoring game of the season. Ouachita was also held to its lowest field goal shooting percentage of the season, connecting on just 13 of 54 shots (24 percent).
Along with SAU, the Tigers also had a good game defensively, giving up just 58 points, which was the second fewest allowed this year.
Other than the low shooting percentages, the 23-point scoring spurt for the Muleriders in the first period ended up being key in holding a lead.
Heidi Robinson led the Tigers with 17 points.
Madeleine Tipton added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Following the Christmas break, the Tigers return to action January 3 on the road against Arkansas Tech.
