EDMOND, Oklahoma – The Ouachita women's tennis team opened its trip to Edmond on Sunday with a 5-2 loss to Missouri Western.
The Tigers started with a pair of victories in doubles to take a 1-0 lead into singles. Sadbaroy Kholdarova and Natalia Zamora Caprirolo won 6-2 on court one. Ali May and Alice Kubler took down their opponents on court three 6-1.
Kholdarova was responsible for Ouachita's other point in the match with a straight set win at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-3 and 6-3. Marlee Bledsoe came close to getting another point for the Tigers with a tiebreaker loss at No. 6 singles.
The Tigers are back in action on Monday in Edmond against Newman.
