KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Ouachita men's basketball forward Hobert Grayson has made the cut for the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List presented by Small College Basketball.
 
The Bevo Francis Award is given out to the player who has had the "finest overall season in Small College Basketball." The award is presented to just one player within the combined NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA classifications.
 
Grayson is the only player from the Great American Conference to be named to the 2024-25 Top 50 Watch List. The Gonzales, Louisiana currently leads the GAC in multiple categories, including rebounds per game (11.5), double doubles (14), total rebounds (163), and minutes per game (36:27) as of this week. The junior also ranks second in the conference in scoring average with 22.6 points per game. Grayson has also been named the GAC's Player of the Week a total of eight times so far this season.
 
Nationally, Grayson ranks fourth in Division II in double-doubles, fifth in rebounds per game and total rebounds, and 14th in points per game. The junior forward is one of only 13 players in DII to be averaging a double-double; and among those 13, Grayson is one of just two averaging at least 20 points per game and is ahead of the other athlete by over two points per game.

Ouachita is currently in third place in the Great American Conference standings and has clinched a spot in the GAC Tournament. The Tigers sit just one game out of second place and three games out of first with four games left in the regular season.
 
Grayson and the Tigers will be back in action this weekend when they take on the first place No. 20 Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene University on Friday, February 21at 7:30 p.m. in Bill Vining Arena.
