ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's tennis team was back in action on Friday at home with a 5-2 loss to 15th-ranked Angelo State inside the Ward Tennis Center.

Marlee Bledsoe and Macie Heide highlighted the Ouachita's doubles performances with a 6-2 win on court three.

In singles, Sadbaroy Kholdarova and Anastasia Myachina picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 5, respectively. Kholdarova needed an extra game to win the first set before winning quickly in the second. Myachina rallied back from being blanked in the first set to win the second set convincingly, which set the stage for a hard-fought victory in the tiebreaker.

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday at home against Central Oklahoma. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
