KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its yearly wrestling awards on Wednesday, which includes Ouachita's
Jimmy Anderson earning first team honors for his performance during the 2024-25 season.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native has been nationally-ranked throughout the entire season in the 133-pound weight class. He sports an overall record of 18-4 this year, including an 11-3 mark against NCAA Division II opponents.
This is Anderson's first all-conference honor for his career, which has also been highlighted by a trip to nationals as a sophomore in 2024 after finishing third at super regionals.
Anderson and the Tigers are set to compete in the 2025 Super Region 4 Tournament this Saturday, March 1 in Warrensburg, Missouri. The top three finishers from each weight class advance to nationals, which is set for March 13-14 in Indianapolis.
