ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita women's tennis team opened Great American Conference play on Sunday at home with a 5-2 loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State.
The Savage Storm opened with a sweep of doubles to take a 1-0 lead into singles. The Tigers kept it close in two matchups with Southeastern needing a tiebreaker to win on court one and an extra game to win on court two.
In singles, Ouachita earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 from Sadbaroy Kholdarova and Natalia Zamora Caprirolo, respectively.
The Tigers are off to Missouri next week to take on Maryville on Thursday, April 3 followed by a trip across the state to take on William Jewell on Friday.
