ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Florida – Ouachita men's tennis' trip to Florida to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships was cut short on Tuesday following a 4-1 loss to third-ranked Barry.
It was Ouachita's 17th all-time appearance in the NCAA Round of 16. Barry (21-3), the second-seeded team in the bracket, advances to face Washburn in the quarterfinals. Ouachita concludes its season with a record of 15-10.
After the Tigers and Bucs split decisions on courts two and three in doubles, Ouachita's 10th-ranked duo of Phil Exner and Ramon Strassmann pulled out a 7-6 win on court one to put the Tigers up 1-0 heading into singles. Yarin Aebi and Aaron Osmond were responsible for the other doubles win in a 6-3 victory on court three.
The Bucs regained the momentum in singles with a quick win on court five, followed by three more two-set wins to earn the overall match victory.
