WARRENSBURG, Missouri – The Ouachita women's soccer team opened its weekend trip to take taking on two of the top programs in the nation on Friday night with a 5-0 loss to 15th-ranked Central Missouri.
The Jennies jumped out to a quick lead, finding the net in the sixth minute to start an spree of four first-half goals, all scored in the first 20 minutes. UCM controlled the first half with an 18-1 edge in total shots heading into the break. UCM scored its final goal in the 59th minute.
The final shot margin was 27-4 in favor of the Jennies, including a 14-2 lead for the home team in shots on goal and a 8-3 lead in corner kicks.
The Tigers head to Kansas to take on Washburn on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Topeka.
