FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – The Ouachita women's cross country team placed 15th out of 28 teams at the Chile Pepper XC Festival, competing in the Harter's Habanero 5K hosted by the University of Arkansas.

Lucy Holden led Ouachita in 60th place with a time of 17:52.5. Following close behind was Makenzie Wood in 61st place with a 17:52.6 time. Ellie Akins was the third Tiger to finish inside the Top-100, placing 93rd with a time of 18:16.3.

The Tigers will compete at the Watson Classic, hosted by Mississippi Christian University, on Friday, October 16. Start time is scheduled for 8:45 a.m.
