ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita men's tennis team extended its season-opening winning streak to five with a 6-1 victory over Collin College on Tuesday afternoon at home.
The Tigers (5-0) started with a sweep in doubles, highlighted by a dominant 6-1 win for the 17th-ranked duo of
Moritz Buss and
Aaron Osmond on court two and close victories on courts one and three.
In singles,
Ramon Strassmann had a close battle in a victory at No. 1, needing a tiebreaker in the first set and an extra game win in the second.
Aaron Osmond and
Tinus Mueller each had convincing wins on courts three and five, respectively.
Guillaume Randoux needed a third set to win on court four.
Maximilian Brenner won in two sets on court six, but needed tiebreakers in each to finalize the match.
Ouachita is back in action this Saturday, February 28 at home against Northwest Missouri State starting at 2 p.m.
