TIPTON, ROBINSON PICKED FOR ALL-GAC TEAMS

FORT SMITH, Arkansas – Ouachita women's basketball student-athletes Madeleine Tipton and Heidi Robinson have been included in the selections for the 2025-26 All-Great American Conference Teams.

The league announced the all-conference teams and special award winners on Wednesday night at a ceremony held at the Peak Innovation Center in Fort Smith on the eve of the championship tournament. The Tigers are the No. 6 seed in the women's bracket and will take on No. 3 seed Arkansas Tech on Friday at 8 p.m. at Northside Arena.

Tipton is now a three-time All-GAC honoree in her Ouachita career. The senior from Vilonia, Arkansas is in the GAC top 10 in eight different stat categories this season. She leads the team in points (435), points per game (16.7), total shots made (127), total shots attempted (296), free throws made (131), and free throws attempted (151). This season, she has reached double digits in scoring in 20 games, including 11 games with at least 20 points and two games with at least 30. She scored a career-high 37 points last Thursday against Southern Arkansas on her senior night.

Tipton is fifth all-time at Ouachita in scoring with 1,421 career points heading into the 2026 GAC tournament.

In addition to her athletic honors, Tipton has also received the league's GAC Elite Scholar Athlete Award for the third straight season. The award is given to the student-athletes in the league with the highest cumulative GPA and at least 70 hours completed. Tipton is a 4.0 student on pace to graduate in May with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and education.

Robinson's all-conference honor is her first at Ouachita. The Marmaduke, Arkansas product is having a standout senior season. She is top 10 in the GAC in seven different stat categories and is one of the best three-point shooters in the league, ranking second across the board in three-pointers made (58), three-pointers per game (2.2), and three-point shooting percentage (39.5). She is 18th in the nation in three-point percentage heading into the GAC tournament.

In January following one of the best individual performances in the history of the GAC, Robinson was named the WBCA-D2CIDA National Player of the Week. She broke a Ouachita school record and tied the GAC single game record with 48 points in a 33-point win over cross-street rival Henderson State. She finished the regular season with 364 points for an average of 14 per game.

The league also announced its academic honor roll for the 2025-26 season, including those with at least 3.5 cumulative GPA in at least their second year of college. Tipton and Robinson both made the list, as did Abbey Harrison, Aubrey Henderson, Kayden Porter, Kerolene dos Santos, and Ruby Trammell.
