SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Ouachita men's tennis team was given an early exit at the 2026 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association/Great American Conference Championship Tournament on Wednesday with a 4-3 loss to Northwest Missouri State.
The Tigers started by winning the doubles points with wins from
Ramon Strassmann and
Yarin Aebi on court one and
Tinus Mueller and
Maximilian Brenner on court three.
Ouachita then found themselves in position to win the match in singles, up 3-2 thanks to wins from
Guillaume Randoux on court three and Brenner on court six.
The Bearcats rallied on courts two and three to win the overall match with three-set victories on both courts.
The Tigers now wait to see if they will receive an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. Ouachita was ranked No. 4 in the central region in this week's poll. The selection show is set for Monday night at
NCAA.com.
