DURANT, Oklahoma – The Ouachita men's tennis team opened MIAA/GAC play on Thursday with a 5-2 road win over Southeastern Oklahoma State.
The Tigers had to rally from down 1-0 after the Savage Storm earned the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. Ouachita's
Ramon Strassmann and
Yarin Aebi salvage one doubles win for the Tigers with a 6-3 decision on court one.
Ouachita rallied back to win five of the six singles matchups, including two set victories for Strassmann on one,
Guillaume Randoux on four, and
Aaron Osmond on five. Aebi and
Maximilian Brenner outlasted their Savage Storm opponents on courts two and six respectively with three set wins to secure the overall match win.
The Tigers are back to conference play on Saturday at home against Arkansas-Fort Smith. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
