KANSAS CITY, Missouri – A combined total of 24 student-athletes from the Ouachita men's tennis and wrestling teams have been honored by the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association for their academic performance.
The Tiger men's tennis team represented one-third of the MIAA Academic Excellence Award winners for 2025-26, honoring those that carry a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average in at least their second year of college. Ouachita's winners of the academic excellence award include
Ramon Strassmann,
Yarin Aebi, and
Tinus Mueller. Strassmann is now a three-time winner of the award.
The men's tennis team also had four earn a spot on the MIAA Scholar-Athlete team, honoring those in at least their second year that made the All-MIAA/GAC Team for their athletic performance and that carry at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Ouachita honorees include Aebi, Strassmann,
Moritz Buss, and
Aaron Osmond. Freshman
Guillaume Randoux was selected to the MIAA Newcomer Scholar-Athlete Team and made the MIAA Newcomer Academic Honor Roll.
The Tiger wrestling team had 18 honored by the MIAA.
