ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita volleyball team capped Friday's action in the 2026 Reddie-Tiger Challenge with a three-set sweep over Mississippi Christian.
Final set scores were 25-22, 25-19, and 25-20. With the win over the Choctaws, the Tigers went 2-0 on Friday to improve their season record to 3-4.
The Choctaws jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set and kept it close throughout the opener due in part to their play at the net with five blocks. The Tigers adjusted in the final two sets, only hitting into two blocks in the second set and none in the third.
Ouachita dominated the middle part of the first set to build and maintain a comfortable lead, holding off a late MC run.
The second set started with a 7-1 surge for the Tigers, who maintained a comfortable margin throughout the frame, including an eight-point advantage at 20-12 on a service ace from
Mack Bidwell. MC again made a late push, but the Tigers held their ground to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
The third set was back-and-forth all the way up to 20-20 before the Tigers scored five straight, including the final four points off the serve of
Gracey Campbell, who had two aces in the winning rally.
Kailey Thedoford led the Tiger offense with 10 kills.
Ella Irons added eight.
Sophie Henry had seven kills and three total blocks. Bidwell finished with 26 assists.
Kylie Kisgen and
Delaney Gonzalez both reached double-digits in digs with 15 and 11, respectively.
The Tigers wrap up the Reddie-Tiger Challenge on Saturday night against Union. First serve is set for approximately 6:30 p.m.
