CAREER RECAP: A two-sport athlete highly-recruited out of high school that originally signed to played basketball at the University of Arkansas… Has excelled as a basketball athlete at Salt Lake Community College, Murray State, Louisiana State, and Loyola Marymount… Returned to football in 2024 with Murray State and is now with the Tigers for his second football season.
2024 AT MURRAY STATE: Played football only for Murray State… Saw action in all 12 games and finished the season as the team’s second-leading receiver with 24 receptions for 341 yards and two touchdowns… Also added six rush attempts for 41 yards… Season-best seven receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown against Indiana State (10/12).
2023-24 AT LOYOLA-MARYMOUNT: Played basketball only at LMU… Played in 23 games and made 20 starts in his lone season at LMU… Missed eight games due to a broken hand but still led the team with 97 assists and 4.2 assists per game… Ranked fourth in the West Coast Conference with 4.2 assists per game and eighth in the WCC in total assists at 97… Third on the team and 22nd in the conference with 11.2 points scored per game… Shot 41.0 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from three… Averaged 29.1 minutes per game, which ranked second on the team and 16th in the conference… Earned WCC Player of the Week honors after scoring 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from three with 8 assists against Jackson State (11/14) and then 24 points on 7-for-12 from the field, 4-for-6 from three, and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line against Stephen F. Austin (11/19)… Scored 19 points and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line at Gonzaga (1/30)… Posted a 24-point and 7-assist game in the win at Pacific (2/24)… Closed his career with team-highs 20-points and six rebounds in the WCC Tournament against Portland (3/8).
2022-23 AT LSU: Played basketball only at LSU and earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies… Played in 30 games with 17 starts… Averaged 5.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game… Averaged 22.7 minutes per game… 81 assists to 41 turnovers, a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio… Had seven games of five assists or more, topped by seven in the opening against Kansas City… Made the game winning layup with 2.1 seconds left in the Wake Forest game (12/10) at Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta; also had six assists and no turnovers in the game which LSU won, 72-70.
2021-22 AT MURRAY STATE: Played basketball only… One of the most improved players in all of NCAA Division I in his second season with the Racers… Named First Team All-OVC, NABC All-District 18, OVC All-Tournament, and OVC Tournament MVP… Started all 34 games and had per game averages of 13.4 ppg (8th in the OVC) and 2.2 rpg… Third in the OVC (32nd NCAA) with 173 assists (5.1 apg)… Finished sixth all-time at MSU in assist total for a season… Was 17th in NCAA in assist to turnover ratio at 2.66… Scored 36 points at Belmont (1/15) on 10-of-19 shooting from the field, including 8-of-11 from the 3-point line and the free throw line… Hill posted 25 games in double figures and five of 20 or more points … 28 double figure games to date … Scored 25 points vs. SEMO (12/30), with six three-pointers and had 20 points with five treys, six assists in a win at Memphis (12/10)… Was the OVC Tournament MVP after scoring 21 points against Morehead State (3/5) in the championship game… Had a season-high 10 assists vs. Tennessee Tech (1/27) and doubled with 20 points… Scored 19 points and five treys in the NCAA Tournament win over San Francisco (3/19)… In two seasons at Murray, scored 603 points with a scoring average of 10.1 ppg… In 60 career games, shot 41.1 percent from the field (219-533), 34.6 percent from three-point range (85-246) and 72.1 percent from the free throw line (80-111).
2020-21 AT MURRAY STATE: Played basketball only… In a pandemic shortened season, saw action in 26 games, starting the first 10 games of the season… Averaged 5.7 points per game, 2.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 21.8 minutes on the floor… Three double figure points games – 17 vs. Austin Peay (12/21), 15 vs. Illinois State (12/5) and 14 vs. SIUE (2/20)… 93 total assists, topped by 11 assists (11/29) vs. Greenville, a game in which he also had 10 rebounds.
2019-20 AT SALT LAKE CC: Played basketball only… Named a NJCAA First Team All-American and was named the Region 18 POY… Helped Salt Lake to the Scenic West Athletic Conference championship with a 29-4 record, averaging 13.9 points and 4.3 assists… Led team with 142 assists and made 40 steals… Two double doubles (20 pts., 11 asts.) against Pensacola; 14 pts., 10 asts. vs. Tohono O’odham.
PREP: Multi-sport athlete in football, basketball and track and field at Little Rock Christian Academy… In 2018, named Gatorade POY in football for Arkansas after passing for 3,084 yards and 37 touchdowns… Led Little Rock Christian to the school’s first state football title… Also finished second in the Arkansas State 5A track meet in the high jump (6-2) and fifth in the long jump (21-3)… Three-time All-State in basketball… Won the 2018 Landers Award.
PERSONAL: Son of Fitzgerald Hill and Cynthia Hill… Brother to Destiny and Faith… Born in Arkadelphia… Birthday is May 14… Goes by the nickname “Juice”… Pursuing a master’s degree at Ouachita in exercise science… Father, Fitz, is an alumnus of Ouachita, a former assistant football coach at the University of Arkansas (1992-2000), former head coach at San Jose State University (2001-2004), and former president of Arkansas Baptist College (2006-2016).
