Lady Tiger Soccer Finishes Knotted at 2 With Northwestern Oklahoma

ALVA, Okla.- A 2-2 tie was the outcome of the Lady Tigers (9-6-1, 3-4-1 GAC) match-up with the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State (0-15-2, 0-7-2 GAC) on Friday afternoon. The Lady Tigers had goals from two different players, while Kaitlyn O'Toole scored both of the Rangers' goals in the contest.
 
Abby Emmanuel got things going early for the Tigers, scoring at the 17:28 minute mark and taking a 1-0 lead for Ouachita.
 
Morgan Pitchford gave the Lady Tigers a seemingly comfortable 2-0 lead just about five minutes later, as she scored at the 22:53 mark.
 
Northwestern wasn't going to go down without a fight though, and O'Toole chipped in her first goal of the afternoon at the 25:38 mark, cutting the lead to 2-1.
 
The last goal of the game came just a short time later, as O'Toole tied the game at 2 with a goal in the 28th minute of the game.
 
Ouachita's Shelby Shepherd recorded four saves in the game, while Northwestern's Caitlin Thorpe recorded 11 saves in the contest. Both keepers played the full 110 minutes in net.
 
The Lady Tigers have one more game left in their 2012 season, when they travel to Southwestern Oklahoma on Sunday. That game will begin at 2 p.m.
