Box Score JESSIEVILLE, Ark. – Ouachita Lady Tiger basketball fell to the Washburn Ichabods on Saturday, by a score of 83-62. Washburn is currently ranked 22
nd in the USA Today Sports preseason poll.
OBU received a huge lift from their ability to get to the free-throw line, scoring 18 points from behind the stripe. The Lady Tigers also won the turnover battle against Washburn. Ouachita struggled shooting the ball, however, as they shot only 32.8% from the field to Washburn's shooting percentage of 57.4%.
In the first half, the Lady Tigers shot 100% from the free-throw line, and sophomore
Breanna Harris led all players with 10 points. Washburn's lights-out shooting, however, gave the Ichabods a 37-28 at the half.
In the second half, Washburn improved on their incredible shooting night to shoot 62.1% in the half. The Lady Tigers were able to commit only six turnovers in the half, but shot only 34.4% from the field. Washburn went on to win the game by a score of 83-62.

Nashia James finished with a team-high 16 points and played all but five minutes of the game. Harris also finished in double-digit scoring, adding 12 points.

The Lady Tigers (0-2) will make a road trip to Ada, Okla. on Thursday, Nov. 21, as both the women and men take on the East Central Tigers in the first Great American Conference match of the season. The tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
