ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Ouachita men's tennis team had their NCAA Tournament run ended a little pre-maturely on Tuesday afternoon, as they fell to No. 39 Southwest Baptist in the Round of 32. The No. 21 ranked Tigers fell by a score of 5-2, losing two of the three doubles matches and three of the four singles matches that were finished
 
The Tigers won the first doubles match in a 9-8 win for Marko Boskovic and Vitor Oliviera, but Ouachita's duo of Helge Knuth and Marvin Muller fell to SBU's Domingos Carissimo and Daniel Cardona by a score of 8-2. Southwest Baptist also took the No. 3 match-up in doubles, as their team of Guido Margiotta and Alex Belote defeated Ouachita's Leon Ferran and Teodor Anghel by a score of 8-5.
 
The first singles match was between SBU's No. 35 ranked Carrissimo and Ouachita's No. 36 ranked Boskovic. Carrissimo came away with the win though in a 6-4, 6-0 match-up.
 
Other singles matches included an SBU win by Kristof Kanal over Ouachita's Knuth by a score of 6-3, 6-4, as well as a win for Southwest Baptist's Margiotta over Ouachita's Ferran by a score of 6-4, 1-6, 6-0.
 
Ouachita's only win in singles play came from Anghel, who downed Southwest's Belote by a score of 6-0, 6-1.
 
The Tigers season concludes with the loss, while Southwest Baptist moves on to the Round of 16 in Surprise, Arizona.
