Tigers Win off of Grant Jones' Career Night

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Ouachita never trails in double-digit victory of University of Arkansas Monticello 79-66. 
 
The Tigers rode the career night by Grant Jones as he put in 22 points and six rebounds. Kendarious Smith added 15 and Trey Harris put in 11 points. Allie Freeman gave the Tigers a spark off the bench with nine points and three assists. 
 
Ouachita started off the game on an 8-2 run that was capped off by a Wesley Franklin jumper. The Tigers would extend their lead to double digits as Trey Harris put in two free throws. Over the next minute Grant Jones executed two three point plays to exetend the Ouachita lead to 15 points. The Tigers lead was extended to 20 with a Grant Jones three-pointer which was part of his 16 point first half. Ouachita went into the half with an 18 point lead. 
 
The Tigers came out of the half and extended their lead to 25 on an 8-2 run capped off by a Trey Harris jumper. Ouachita's largest lead of the game came at 62-35 as Morris Talbert knocked down two free throws. The Tigers would allow the Weevils to come back on a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 68-51. Ouachita would then make eight free throws and a Kendarious Smith three to take the 79-66 point victory.
