SHAWANEE, Okla. – Ouachita's 15-0 run out of the game thwarted as the Tigers fall to Oklahoma Baptist 79-61.
Matt Stanley was the game high score for the Tigers with 22 points and 5 rebounds.
Eric Brown also added 10 points in the affair.
The first half started with the Tigers shooting on all cylanders which included opening the game on a 15-2 run. In that run
Matt Stanley scored eight straight points to lead Ouachita. The Bison would not go away and took the lead with 8:45 left to go in the half. Ouachita battled back and cut the lead to five on a
Matt Stanley lead. However, the Tigers went into the half trailing the Bison by 14.
In the Second half,
Matt Stanley continued his tear on the offensive end scoring the Tigers first five points to cut the Bison lead to 11. The Tigers kept battling as
Grant Jones an
Allie Freeman both had five points each. The Tigers made one last push going on a 7-0 run to cut it back to 11 capped off with
Kendarious Smith making three consecutive free throws. The Tigers fell in the end to the Bison 79-61.
