Box Score HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Tigers fight hard in the first round of the Great American Conference Tournament winning the first set of No. 2 Northwestern Oklahoma State but fall in the end 3-1.
Katie Camp in her last game in the purple and gold reached a milestone as she connected on her 1,000
th kill as a Tiger. She led the team into battle with 16 kills and 17 digs keeping the Tigers in the match.
Emily Low put in another sensational game for Ouachita tallying 11 kills and five blocks.
Rileigh Fielder was close behind Low adding in nine kills on the day.
Lexie Castillow led the Tigers defensively with 35 digs making plays all over the court. Setters
Temi Fayiga and
Joni Schneider combined for 51 digs on 60 kills.

Allison Frizzell-Kizer on the season, "I am so proud of this team. From their achievements in the classroom to the court, they have soared. This is a special group. The future is bright for Ouachita volleyball."
Katie Camp was on fire in the first set for Ouachita. She closed out the set for the Tigers going on a 5-1 run on her own. The Tigers fought hard as the seventh seed pulling out a 25-20 victory over the Rangers.
A kill by Camp in the second set gave Ouachita a 14-13 lead over NWOSU. However, the Tigers gave up a 6-0 run allowing the Rangers to capture a five point advantage. The Tigers did not quit going on a counter 5-0 run of their own led by
Emily Low's two kills. Ouachita fell in the end of the set 25-22 allowing the Rangers to tie the match at 1-1. In the final two sets the Tigers fought hard but fell in each set 25-22. Finishing their season with a 14-14 record.
The Tigers were recognized for their great season by the conference. First year libero
Lexie Castillow was named Second Team All-Great American Conference.
Katie Camp and
Julianna Mack were named Elite Scholar Athletes as
Shannon Hogan and
Temi Fayiga receive Distinguished Scholar Athletes.
