RUSSELLVILLE, Ark – Ouachita Tiger's Men basketball shoots 60% from the field as they defeat the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech, 96-82.
Mahlon Martin put in 25 points for the Tigers on 80% shooting from the field.
Matt Stanley added 24 points and nine rebounds, while
Wesley Franklin scored 12 in the win.
The first half the Tigers allowed the Wonder Boys to jump out to a eight point lead before the three pointers started to fall in for Ouachita.

Mahlon Martin would make four consecutive threes to bring the Tigers within two points at 14-16. The Tigers would take the lead again as
Wesley Franklin knocked down a long ball with 9:00 left in the half. Ouachita would extend their lead to 34-27 with a
Morris Talbert layup at the 7:15 mark. The Tigers would allow the Wonder Boys within three points at 40-37 before closing the half on a 11-3 run. The run was capped off by a turnaround jumper from
Eric Brown with four seconds left before the break.
To start the second half the Tigers would allow the Wonder Boys back into the game. Ouachita would never allow Arkansas Tech to take the lead, but the Wonder Boys would tie the game at 58. Ouachita would storm back starting with a
Morris Talbert three pointer.
Matt Stanley would take over the game for the Tigers as he would score the next 10 points by himself. In the last 12:55 of the game Stanley would score 19 of his 25 total points while playing with four fouls. The Tiger's largest lead of the game came at 82-67 after a
Trey Harris driving layup three point play. Ouachita's defense would lock down the Wonder Boys at the end of the game as the Tigers only allowed two points the last 3:36.
